HPE Wants Partners To Adopt A Digital Mindset

HPE’s Chris Ogburn says the new ‘Pro’ Series tools will help partners transform their go-to-market strategies for the digital age.

Partners need to transform their go-to-market with a digital mindset, HPE’s Chris Ogburn, vice president of Global Marketing, told CRN at HPE Discover.

Digital transformation has become a strategic imperative for businesses and now HPE is making the transition easier for its partners with a new set of “Pro” Series tools. At HPE Discover, Ogburn discussed how these enhancements push to unite its partners with its internal sales and marketing teams, enabling them to win together in the digital age.

“What we announced was a series of three specific pro areas to help support partners in their business,” said Ogburn. “We announced Marketing Pro Academy, which are enhancements to what we introduced last year to at the Global Partner Summit, we announced Tech Pro and we announced Sales Pro. So, we start to work collectively with marketers, sales people and technical solution architects to enable to them to go off and be more successful and grow the business.”

Among the updates is a new online Learning Center within the Marketing Pro Academy. Underway as a pilot program with a select group of partners, the center provides resources on digital marketing topics, helping partners to develop more impactful, cost-effective digital marketing campaigns.

HPE also introduced new enhancements to its Social Media Center to make it easier for partners to share content across their social channels. HPE will aggregate content from influencers, so that partners can quickly share the news to their social media channels. Ogburn says the updates encourage partners to look at their go-to-market strategies in new ways.

“Look at what we are doing from a Pro Series perspective to help enable them. Not only in the technical space with solutions architect but how we are building sales communities. Then, there’s a depth of content on the marketing side, where partners really need to transform their go-to-market into a digital mindset and take some of those tools and content into their business.”
