Please briefly describe the product, its functionality and its target market:IGEL's Universal Desktop 3 (UD3) thin clients include the IGEL UD3-LX (IGEL Linux v5) and UD3-W7+ (Windows Embedded 7) models, which are ideal for meeting the demands of graphics and multimedia-intensive environments. Key features of the IGEL UD3 series include: • AMD Embedded G-Series System-on-Chip (SoC) quad core processor • Support for Citrix HDX, VMware Horizon and Microsoft RDP including RemoteFX • Integrated DisplayPort supporting 4K resolution and featuring an additional DVI port • Optional VESA mount on the back of a monitor for space constrained environments The UD3 series is also available with an optional integrated smart card reader, supporting highly secure two-factor authentication and faster login times; a connectivity foot offering two additional serial ports for legacy peripherals; and, wireless network connectivity or an anti-theft USB port. And, because there are no moving parts, UD3 thin clients are practically noise-free and fail-safe due to minimal heat generation.
What makes your product innovative:Through the IGEL Universal Management Suite (UMS 5), IT organizations can manage their IGEL thin and zero clients, and PCs, notebooks and thin clients from other manufacturers - converted into software thin clients, using the IGEL Universal Desktop Converter (UDC). This minimizes support costs and offers maximum security and reliability. The IGEL UD3 series thin clients are Citrix HDX Ready and VMware Ready. In August 2016, IGEL became one of the first thin client manufacturers to integrate the VMware Blast Extreme Protocol, which enables IT organizations to: • Centrally configure and add new features via UMS firmware updates and UMS profile management • Activate only the functionalities needed to run the VMware Blast Extreme Protocol through the IGEL UMS and Linux partitioning Additionally, industry-standard H.264 and JPEG/PNG codecs provide the same level of viewing intensity for graphics and video, as end users experience via a standard desktop or laptop PC.

At the Reseller level, there is no requirement other than being able to purchase from Ingram Micro or Synnex, and resellers and are free to request special pricing. Authorized IGEL Partners (AIPs) are required to certify two sales staff (IGEL Sales Professional) and two technical staff (IGEL Technical Sales Professional) via a one-day onsite training and have a yearly web-based re-certification requirement. AIP level partners can also earn the right to register deals, are given status on the IGEL Partner Locator tool, have access to project-based and NFR pricing, advance NDA Roadmap discussions and disbursement of leads.
