Review: VisiStat Simplifies Web Analytics

Web site

VisiStat is known for its simple SOAP-based API to automate access to accounts. In version 4.0, VisiStat brings multiple-domain reporting so that customers with various domains can toggle between reports. This feature also generates a domain comparison report to help customers analyze performance across domains. Users, too, can place nicknames to identify domains.

Version 4.0 also enables users to create custom reference reports to analyze small sets of pages. With LinkTracker, users can track any downloads on a page plus links within pages. This feature is useful for banner advertising.

The company also has made available a new Live Page Visit feature, which is still in beta. With Live Page Visits, users can track Web site visitors in real time. This feature shows where users are coming from by tracking IP addresses and external linked Web sites such as Google. It also accumulates a history of click paths within customers' Web sites.

In addition, VisiStat now reports on bounce rates, which only tracks users that didn't go beyond the first page. A great addition to this version is the WorldMap reporting, which divides information based on geographical area.

VisiStat is relatively affordable when you consider that ISPs, Web site hosting providers and developers manage thousands of accounts. Basic packages start at $19.95 per month.
