Google Scrambles To Fix Android Flaw That’s Under Attack

Google issued a warning Thursday that a zero-day bug in the Android operating system was actively being exploited by attackers.

The vulnerability could give an attacker full control over a smartphone, according to a Threatpost story. The flaw impacts 18 smartphone models including Google’s Pixel and phones made by Samsung, Huawei and Xiaomi.

By Friday, Google was scrambling to develop a fix for the unpatched vulnerability with a patch expected in the next few days, Threatpost said.
