The startup behind the failed Iowa caucus app is packed with operatives from past Democratic presidential campaigns, and is tied to ACRONYM, ‘a nonprofit organization committed to building power and digital infrastructure for the progressive movement.’
Shadow Inc. COO James Hickey
Hickey, also worked for Hillary Clinton’s campaign from June 2015 to November 2016, as an engineering manager. The 2007 Oberlin College graduate was previously head software engineer at BRANDERATI before it was acquired by Sprinklr, which then hired him as director of product development.
After he worked on Clinton’s campaign, he too went to work with Davis and Niemira for Groundbase as the chief technology officer.
