The Midsize Enterprise Summit Innovation Awards

More than 300 CIOs voted for their favorite vendor solutions at Everything Channel's Midsize Enterprise Summit, held Sept. 15-17, in Grapevine, Texas. The MES show brings together CIOs and vendors to help the end users learn more about products designed for the midmarket space.

Winners were chosen in six categories, including best midmarket solutions for hardware, software and services, best execution of a midmarket solution, best presentation and best in show. If you're looking for solutions your customers will love, this is a good place to start.

She may have starred on TV's "The Biggest Loser" but comedienne Kelly MacFarland made everyone feel like a big winner by starring as the presenter for the night. In addition to a stand-up set, she also helped give away the awards.

Hewlett-Packard's Urs Renggli, director of worldwide small and midmarket business for the Technology Solutions Group, accepts the award from MacFarland. HP beat out other nominees Compellent, KACE and TriGeo Network Security.

QlikView took home the award for best software solution, besting other finalists Cognos, Kaspersky Lab and Microsoft. Posing with MacFarlane are the QlikView team. The win was QlikView's second in a row in the category. The Post Falls, Idaho-based vendor also took home an award at the spring MES show in Orlando.

Brazil IT proudly showed its colors while accepting the award for best midmarket services solution. Other nominees included Google, Mexico IT and Rackspace Hosting.

TriGeo's Ward Nimmo, regional account manager, accepts his award for best execution of a midmarket IT solution. Other nominees were Google, QlikView and ShoreTel.

Best of Show is given to the vendor that made the biggest impression with the midmarket CIOs. This year's winner was TriGeo Network Security, accepted by Ward Nimmo. Other finalists included QlikView, Tandberg and HP.
