It's no secret that many top solution provider executives are well compensated. But, just how well rewarded are they? In a CRN investigative report that takes an in-depth look at channel salaries, CRN examines high-ranking SP500 executives who aren't sitting in the CEO's seat but still bring in the big bucks. As part of our ongoing look at SP500 executive salaries, here's a look at some of the channel's best-paid lieutenants.
No. 10: Stefan Piringer, EVP, Asia-Pacific, MICROS Systems
Total Compensation: $3.7 Million
Before his current role, Piringer served as president and EVP in the Asia Pacific region for MICROS. In 2000, he was appointed president and COO of MICROS subsidiary hotelBANK. Piringer joined MICROS in 1994.
No. 9: Ramakrishnan Chandrasekaran, President and Managing Director, Global Delivery, Cognizant Technology Solutions
Total Compensation: $3.7 Million
Chandrasekaran served as the President of Global Delivery of Cognizant from August 2, 2006, to February 6, 2012. Previously, he was Managing Director of Global Delivery. Chandrasekaran has more than 20 years of industry experience. This year, he became Group Chief Executive of Technology and Operations at the solution provider.
No. 8: Thomas L. Patz, EVP, Strategic Initiatives, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary, MICROS Systems
Total Compensation: $4.2 Million
Patz has been in his current position since 2000. He joined MICROS five years earlier as General Counsel, and a year later was promoted to VP and General Counsel. He was promoted to SVP in September 1999, and by the following January, he earned his current title.
No. 7: Kaweh Niroomand, EVP, Europe-Africa-Middle East Region, MICROS Systems
Total Compensation: $4.3 Million
Niroomand has been a MICROS top exec since 1995. He was appointed President of MICROS Europe, Africa and Middle East (EAME) in 2005. Previously, Niroomand was EVP, EAME and Managing Director of MICROS-Fidelio Software Deutschland GmbH.
No. 6: Alexander M. van't Noordende, Group Chief Executive - Management Consulting, Accenture
Total Compensation: $4.7 Million
Van’t Noordende served as Accenture's Group Chief Executive - Resources until March 1, 2011, when he became Group Chief Executive - Management Consulting. He is responsible for the company’s capabilities and services for analytics, customer relationship management, finance and enterprise performance, strategy, operations, risk management, sustainability, and talent and organization. Van’t Noordende is also a member of Accenture's Global Management Committee.
No. 5: Robert N. Frerichs, Group Chief Executive - North America, Accenture
Total Compensation: $4.8 Million
Frerichs served as Group Chief Executive - North America until August 31, 2011, when he became an International Chairman. Frerichs retired from Accenture on February 29, 2012.
No. 4: Rajeev Mehta, COO, Global Client Services, Cognizant Technology Solutions
Total Compensation: $5.1 Million
Mehta is responsible for leading Cognizant's industry vertical and geographic market operations globally. His focus is on working with clients to help clients build stronger businesses. Mehta joined Cognizant in 1997.
No. 3: Gordon J. Coburn, CFO, COO, Treasurer, Cognizant Technology Solutions
Total Compensation: $6.2 Million
Gordon manages Cognizant's overall profit and loss. He has served as Cognizant's CFO and COO, responsible for worldwide financial planning and analysis, accounting, treasury/tax, audit and investor relations functions. As COO, he oversaw the solution provider's global talent organization, as well as its internal technology and infrastructure. He joined Cognizant in 1996 and served as CFO through its IPO in 1998.
No. 2: Kevin M. Campbell, Group Chief Executive - Technology, Accenture
Total Compensation: $6.6 Million
Campbell served as Group Chief Executive - Outsourcing until August 31, 2009, when he became Accenture's Group Chief Executive - Technology. He left the company in March, for "personal reasons."
No. 1: Pamela J. Craig, CFO, Accenture
Total Compensation: $6.9 Million
As CFO, Craig's responsibilities include the corporate controllership, treasury, tax, and investor relations functions. She also leads the client finance and commercial directors; finance operations; corporate development and transaction services; and strategic planning and analysis. Craig has been active in the advancement and retention of women at Accenture, supporting the consultancy's senior women and emerging leaders globally. In 2008, she received the National Council for Research on Women’s "Making a Difference for Women Award."
