EdgeSpring Offers Business Analytics Platform For Information Workers
EdgeSpring came out of stealth mode this month and unveiled its platform for building business intelligence applications with interactive data analysis and visualization capabilities. The platform, according to the company, works with structured and unstructured data and cuts the amount of time needed to develop analytical applications from weeks to hours.
EdgeSpring's pitch is that everyday information workers can use its business analytics system without having to rely on IT specialists and data analysts.
Founded in 2010, San Mateo, Calif.-based EdgeSpring recently raised $11 million in first-round financing from Kleiner Perkins Caulfield & Byers and Lightspeed Ventures. Vijay Chakravarthy is the company's founder and CEO.
