Carrie Palin

SendGrid, a Denver-based digital communications platform, appointed Carrie Palin as its first chief marketing officer.

Palin was most recently at Box, where she was a senior vice president. Before that, she was vice president of marketing for IBM's Cloud Data Services and Analytics Software Division. She previously spent more than 15 years at Dell in marketing leadership roles.

As SendGrid's first CMO, Palin will be responsible for the company's brand and driving demand for its products and services on top of leading overall marketing operations.


David Heard

Infinera, a Sunnyvale, Calif.-based provider of intelligent transport networks, promoted David Heard to chief operating officer from his previous role as the lead of Infinera's product and solutions team.

Prior to joining Infinera in 2017, Heard held numerous executive leadership roles at companies including Lucent, Santera Systems, Somera and Bigband.

“As an accomplished and trusted leader, David is uniquely qualified to drive operational excellence across the organization and accelerate Infinera’s industry leadership as we scale to address the next wave of global spending,” Tom Fallon, Infinera's CEO, said in a statement.


Scott Walker

Unitas Global, a hybrid cloud solution provider, appointed Scott Walker as chief marketing officer, a role that puts him in charge of the company's global product and services portfolio.

Prior to joining the Los Angeles-based company, Walker was vice president of global alliances, partner marketing and global channels at Arcserve. Before that, he served in executive roles at Ericsson, Equinix, Neustar, Cisco and AT&T.
