October was a big month for IT executive moves in the channel, including CEOs at GE, Datto and Veeam stepping down as well as major appointments at PTC, Docker and Zscaler.

Ryan Shrout

Intel appointed Ryan Shrout, founder of publication PC Perspective, as chief performance strategist, where he will "help influence and drive performance leadership across Intel's product portfolio."

With Shrout joining the Santa Clara, Calif.-based company, he said he will no longer be involved with PC Perspective's editorial operations and will relinquish ownership of the site to his team.

Shrout is also shuttering his firm, Shrout Research, which worked with large tech companies.


Dan Murphy

Dan Murphy was appointed as vice president of finance and operations at XenTegra, a Huntersville, N.C.-based provider of integrated digital workspaces and managed services.

Murphy, who previously worked at Bank of America for 24 years, was among multiple recent appointments made by XenTegra. The company also promoted Keith Qualter to vice president of sales and business development.


Rishi Dave

Vonage appointed Rishi Dave as chief marketing officer, a role that will put him in charge of the company's global marketing strategy.

"His experience in technology, software and cloud will help further position Vonage as a business communications software leader," Vonage CEO Alan Masarek said in a statement. "Rishi's expertise in leading all aspects of integrated marketing, including brand transformation, digital, social, data and analytics, will have a tremendously positive impact on Vonage's positioning and performance."

Prior to joining the Holmdel, N.J.-based cloud communications provider, Dave spent more than 15 years at Dun & Bradstreet, where he most recently served as CMO. He has also held executive marketing roles at Dell, Rivio and Trilogy Software.
