 The Week Ending Feb. 21

Topping this week's roundup of those having a rough week is Apple, which acknowledged that its quarterly sales will take a hit from the coronavirus, both from reduced iPhone production in China and reduced sales in that country.

Also making this week’s list is Oracle Executive Chairman and CTO Larry Ellison, who was the target of an employee protest this week. Google made the list for a lawsuit filed by New Mexico alleging the company had illegally collected data from children, MGM for a security breach and theft of guest data, and Adobe for scrambling to fix critical bugs in two popular applications.

Not everyone in the IT industry was having a rough go of it this week. For a rundown of companies that made smart decisions, executed savvy strategic moves—or just had good luck—check out this week's 5 Companies That Came To Win roundup.
