CRN Solution Provider 500: 41 Newcomers in 2022

Rick Whiting

Among the companies named to this year’s Solution Provider 500, 41 are joining the list for the first time. Here’s a look.

The Newcomers

The ongoing pandemic, economic uncertainty, supply chain disruptions: These are turbulent times for the IT industry, the channel and the businesses they serve. But it’s precisely during such times when old business practices and processes and the legacy IT systems that support them can no longer do the job. That creates opportunities for solution providers and strategic service providers with new IT, new ideas and new approaches.

This year’s CRN Solution Provider 500, the annual ranking of the largest solution providers with operations in North America, includes 41 newcomers to the list. That’s nearly twice as many as last year, evidence that the channel remains robust with new companies ready to provide solutions and services built around the quickly evolving IT industry.

Newcomers on this year’s list include Kyndryl (No. 6), the managed infrastructure service giant that was spun off from IBM Global Services in 2021. That led to a significant re-ordering of the top of the Solution Provider 500 list this year.

Other newcomers include government and military contractor Peraton (No. 20), cloud service provider and Amazon Web Services partner DoAiT International (No. 54), business solutions provider The Judge Group (No. 64), and supply chain and mobility solutions provider Peak Technologies (No. 70).

The channel is a key component of the overall IT industry, as evidenced by the $436.4 billion in revenue generated last year by the companies that make up the 2022 edition of the CRN Solution Provider 500.
