IT Services: Expect Respectable Growth

Global spending on IT services is expected to see solid growth over the next few years, but that growth will be only about half that of enterprise software, Gartner said.

This category of spending includes cloud compute and managed services, Lovelock said.

Increased cloud adoption is not cannibalizing IT services spending, he said.

"The amount of overall IT spending on cloud and outsourcing services outside the business accounted for 23.9 percent of overall enterprise IT spending in 2018," he said. "That will rise to 27.9 percent in 2023."
