ePlus Sales Down, Exec Compensation Stable

ePlus Technology, a Herndon, Va.-based solution provider, reported that total compensation for each of its top three executives stayed around the same as the previous year as company revenue declined slightly, according to a regulatory filing Monday.

CEO Mark Marron topped the list with total compensation of $3.8 million, which included base salary of $800,000, stock awards of $1.8 million and other perks, according to the proxy filing.

The company, which was No. 36 on the Solution Provider 500 in 2021 and has 1,560 employees, saw fiscal 2021 revenue fell by 1.3 percent over last year to $1.57 billion.

ePlus had its IPO in late 1996, making it one of the first national solution providers to go public. Since that time, ePlus has made almost 30 acquisitions, including the late 2020 acquisition of Systems Management Planning, or SMP and the mid-2019 acquisition of nearly all of Innovative Technology Systems & Solutions, which does business as ABS Technology.
