Solution Provider, Distributor Stock Winners And Losers In Q1

All but three of the 25 publicly held solution provider companies on our watch list saw the price of their stock price tumble in the first quarter of 2020—many by double-digit amounts. Take a look at whose shares managed to hold their value and which ones took the biggest losses.

On March 16 Unisys completed the $1.2 billion sale of its U.S. federal business to SAIC. The company will use the money largely to pay down debt and reduce pension obligations.

For all of 2019, Unisys reported revenue of $2.95 billion, up 4.4 percent from $2.83 billion in 2018. But the company reported a $17.2 million loss for the year compared with net income of $75.5 million one year earlier.

Unisys, No. 24 on the 2019 CRN Solution Provider 500, increased its market capitalization by 4.26 percent in the March quarter to $776.8 million.
