“Twenty years ago, a good friend of mine left his home, a country in a very fragile part of the world and moved to the United States. I asked him why he chose to come here, and, in his answer, you could see how much he believed in America and the American dream. What I remember most from that conversation, though, was what he said about his home country – ‘We’re not stable. We’re always one bad leader away from chaos and anarchy. No one should have to live like that.’ I’m sure he is in disbelief and heartbroken today. No matter who you voted for, or who you support, we cannot condone or accept what we have seen in Washington today. This is not what we should aspire to,” Cagnazzi said in a LinkedIn post.
