10 AWS Channel Issues Raised By Partners
Amazon Web Services partners told CRN they would like to see the cloud computing market leader address a number of pressing issues, including channel conflict with AWS Professional Services consultants, a framework for smaller partners to engage with AWS and escalation issues that are impacting partners.
A smaller partner said they when they were undergoing initial certification, they had a dedicated partner development manager, but then they were moved to a team support model with no named contact. Can you explain how that works?
There is always a named person. There’s a difference between dedicated partner manager versus an assigned partner manager. Dedicated means “I am just dedicated to you.” But we do make sure that every partner has a name that’s —assigned to them, so that they can actually contact that person.
