Pixeom Announces $15 Million In Funding
Santa Clara, Calif.-based Pixeom now has $15 million in capital funding to scale and deliver its end-to-end, edge computing enterprise software platform that recreates cloud functionality on-premise.
Its platform’s application programming interface makes it easy to deploy and manage large-scale, geographically distributed infrastructure and workloads, according to the company. It offers a seamless developer experience with tools for building and debugging containerized applications that are intended to run on the edge
Pixeom’s enterprise software customers include Intel, Google, SK Telecom, Vodafone and National Grid. National Grid Partners, the venture capital arm of National Grid, was an investor in the round with Intel Capital.
“This round of funding will be used as growth capital to augment our client base in several growth area, such as energy, telecom, manufacturing, smart retail, security and healthcare,” Pixeom founder and CEO Sam Nagar said in a statement. “To date, we have over a million installations of our software by dozens of Fortune 500 companies.”
