Coalfire Is Launch Partner For New Authority To Operate Program

Westminster, Colo.-based Coalfire, a cybersecurity advisory and assessment services firm, was chosen as one of 24 launch partners for the Authority to Operate (ATO) on AWS partner program.

ATO on AWS is an APN program that provides resources to solution providers running on AWS that need assistance in compliance authorization. It connects them to AWS partners that can help them integrate better strategies and tools such as automation, DevOps, SecOps and continuous integration/continuous delivery into their security and compliance platforms and processes to expedite the path to authorization.

Coalfire is assisting AWS customers with security automation strategies for frameworks including the Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program (FedRAMP), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement, Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard and Service Organization Control. For its first use case, it leveraged AWS Security Orchestration and Automation methodology to help New York fintech company Innovest Systems achieve audit-ready FedRAMP status in less than six months, compared to the average 18 months to 24 months, according to Coalfire.
