How important is the asset management opportunity around GreenLake?

We are the financial engineers of all the GreenLake solutions.

HPEFS provides the kind of asset management capabilities that drives GreenLake solutions that they may not otherwise been able to reach. Take Kern County California which was a pretty good GreenLake win. That doesn’t happen unless we do two things: unless we provide certified pre-owned assets to that solution which enabled GreenLake to hit that price point. We even provided them with a couple of hundred megabytes of memory which was also from preowned at a great price point. This enabled them to transition to Greenlake seamlessly without disruption and at a price point they could afford.

Without an ability to create investment capacity from assets that customers already have on the books like we did with Kern County there’s no money. IT budgets are not expanding. There is no money to do that.

It is HPEFS – and it’s not bragging if you can do it- that has simply the best asset management capabilities of any of our highly valued competitors that we see in the marketplace all the time. We have got the best. We do it worldwide. We do it on a consistent basis. That is what enabled Kern County to convert to GreenLake and to do so successfully.
