The AI Opportunity

An area I would really like to see our partners collaborate with us and invest in is around AI. We’re now starting to see the market for AI start to proliferate into less esoteric, more generalized workloads. So it’s starting to become less niche and available as a market for our partners. I think for them to really capture that opportunity, they need some expertise. So you know it’s well known that we have a fabulous reputation for Exascale systems and that we are the market leader for Exascale systems. Those are highly customized, highly engineered, highly tuned environments which require a huge amount of expertise and work.

But some of those workloads are now becoming deployed in a more accessible manner with a smaller investment that doesn’t require hundreds of millions or tens of millions of dollars. That means it is becoming a market that is starting to cross the chasm and be accessible for partners. I think there is a really significant opportunity for partners to invest in expertise that helps customers architect, design and integrate to optimize an AI environment and help customers with their data. That is an area I think there is a lot of scope for us to scale collectively. Our Apollo mission-critical portfolio, we saw great growth in that in 2020, continuing into this year. That’s an area I think partners have a great opportunity to benefit from.

We have got certifications that are available for salespeople and for the partners themselves that help them build the expertise that gives them the recognition that they are experts in this.
