We’ll be able to offer new capabilities to our partners [starting in mid-February], delivering [ProLiant servers] from stock in distribution with a degree of customization within 48 hours. We think that’s a really compelling offer for our partners serving this customer segment that our competition is frankly not able to offer.

Small customers want to be able to buy essentially off the shelf with a degree of customization and we are enabling that through our distribution partners into collectively the partner community that serves those customers.

We’ve invested in IT systems such that our quoting systems can provide the ability for our distribution partners to price and quote customized SKUs while carrying a mixture of base units and options in stock. So it’s really IT investments that have enabled the customized delivery within 48 hours.
