Nutanix Launches AOS 6 With ‘Flow Networking’
Nutanix launched a new version of its flagship AOS hyperconverged infrastructure software. AOS version 6 features native support for virtual networking on its AHV hypervisor.
Nutanix AOS 6 can now deliver Flow Networking—a network virtualization offering on AHV that enables customers to simplify their networking through a software-defined single pane of glass management. Enterprises and service providers can now create Virtual Private Clouds to offer their users a cloud-like agility with minimal dependency on hardware switches and routers.
Flow Networking also offers VPN capabilities which allow customers to bridge and extend their virtual networks to any public and private cloud infrastructure. Nutanix said the ability to provision cloud connectivity on demand without needing dedicated physical appliances and other complex configurations will reduce cost and simplify customer operations.
Flow Networking and AOS 6 is currently available to customers.
