Winner: Nexenta Systems NexentaConnect 3.0

Nexenta Systems claims to have solved one of the major complications of VDI implementation -- the storage bottleneck. NexentaConnect 3.0 for VMware Horizon and Citrix XenDesktop is a software-defined storage solution that the company SAID can accelerate storage performance by as much as 10 times, thereby increasing the user density of an installation. The tool also streamlines VDI deployment, automates VDI storage management and is billed as a "storage-in-a-box" solution for any supported platform. A recent update adds pass-through support for the VMware GPU, faster desktop pool restoration from backup and the ability to import desktop pools from Horizon View.
