ARM's DynamIQ Move

ARM on Tuesday unveiled a new DynamIQ chip design, which the company said will target artificial intelligence and machine learning applications for its Cortex-A processors.

According to ARM, 50 billion chips were shipped by its partners between 2013 and 2017, and the company expects its partners to ship the next 100 billion by 2021.

"These numbers further reinforce that ARM is the industry’s architecture of choice today," said Nandan Nayampally, vice president of marketing and strategy at ARM, in a statement. "Naturally we see it as our responsibility to address the industry demand for ubiquitous AI, autonomous systems and accelerating the integration of virtual worlds toward a mixed reality experience."
