The Future Of Business Mobility?

With the Galaxy Note9, Samsung is aiming to prove that the smartphone can be much more than a consumer device. While the Note series has long catered to productivity-focused users with its large screen size and digital stylus, Samsung expects the Note9 to see the most business traction yet for a Note device, according to Samsung mobile channel chief Mike Coleman. That's thanks to features on the 6.4-inch Note9 such as an enhanced stylus that enables new business use cases and built-in technology for powering a desktop experience using the phone, as well as expanded battery life and storage.

"We think it's a true differentiator for Samsung to be mindful of the needs of the business customer, which in many cases are very different than the needs of the consumer," Coleman told CRN in an interview Thursday following Samsung's unveiling of the Note9 in New York. "So you're really trying to solve business problems that involve technology that's familiar at the consumer level, but so much more powerful at the business level."

What follows are five business-friendly features of Samsung's new Galaxy Note9, which ships Aug. 24 with a starting price of $999.99.
