A New Day At Lexmark

Printer giant Lexmark has been leaderless for six months while a search committee worked to find a new CEO. That wait ended on Tuesday when the company announced that it had selected longtime Lexmark executive Allen Waugerman for the role of president and CEO.

The company was said to be looking for a leader who would remain with Lexmark for the foreseeable future. With his deep ties to Kentucky, and decades of work invested in the Lexington, Ky.-based company, Waugerman appears to meet that criteria.

Lexmark grew sales in North America and Asia last year. It launched a major product refresh, introduced a new Go-Line of products specifically designed for managed print services, and targeted micro-SMBs and start ups with a new 2 Series made smaller, and lighter, but with full security offerings of all Lexmark devices.
