Dell's Shining Star: The Channel
Life is good for Dell as a private company. With 14 months of private management under its belt, Dell is at the top of its game, delivering on promises made to channel partners last year and moving fast on its transformation to an end-to-end enterprise company. That's according to Marius Haas, chief commercial officer and president, Enterprise Solutions, who told CRN that Dell is in overdrive with a portfolio that has grown quickly to include hyper-converged storage and networking data center center solutions and a growing number of cloud offerings.
"In aggregate, it's been a solid year for every aspect of our business," Haas said. "And the shining star has been the channel." The channel, Haas said, now represents more than 40 percent of Dell's global revenue -- that's up from 33 percent just 12 months ago.
We caught up with Haas earlier this week to discuss Dell's channel and enterprise momentum.
