STORAGE -- ENTERPRISE

HPE 3PAR 20840

WINNER: OVERALL

Hewlett Packard Enterprise designed the 3Par 20840 converged flash array for organizations that are seeking to consolidate their legacy storage arrays. And its performance is impressive, said Dan Molina, chief technology officer of Nth Generation Computing, San Diego. "You can get up to 3 million IOs per second, which is a huge number. A lot of data centers are not even close [to achieving that]," he said. The 3Par 20840 also offers plenty of usable capacity -- up to 15 petabytes -- in a single system. "That's creating a lot of opportunities for massive consolidation," Molina said.
