Forcepoint's Cloud Access Security Broker solution targets security risks created by file sharing and use of cloud applications, with the goal of safeguarding crucial cloud-stored data and intellectual property. New capabilities include analysis of user behavior as well as the characteristics of the application that's being used -- for instance, providing analysis of what data, device and location is being accessed. Meanwhile, a new dashboard provides reporting on employee behavior and the potential business impact of the user's current account permissions. In a time when there are "so many individual point products" in security, Forcepoint's addition of CASB is part of bringing "multiple products on a single platform that are best-of-breed in each area," said Jeremy Wittkop, chief technology officer of Greenwood Village, Colo.-based InteliSecure. "That's a winning strategy for the client."
