With Intercept X, which offers advanced endpoint protection, Sophos provides capabilities including blocking of ransomware and signature-less threat detection. Among the new features added recently is ransomware protection for Windows servers, along with prevention of attacks that target the master boot record and volume record. Intercept X is "saving our customers left, right and center" said Michelle Drolet, president and CEO of Framingham, Mass.-based Towerwall. "A lot of other third-party technologies say they work, but don't really. Intercept X has been solid since it came out." The product, Drolet added, has "definitely increased our Sophos sales and revenue, and it's helped protect our customers."
