Traditional Tiering Is Out: ‘Purely Based On Their Competency Level’

Nutanix partners will be no longer be tiered based on revenue targets and sales thresholds. Instead, partner incentives, rebates and collaboration with Nutanix is based on a solution provider’s competency level and new specializations.

“We’ve completely moved away from the traditional tiered model. We’re moving toward a competency-based model. So now partners no longer need to be at a certain revenue threshold or sales achievement target, it’s purely based on their competency level,” said Alvarez.

In the new Elevate Partner Program, Nutanix is introducing Cloud Professional and Cloud Champion for all partners, which are based on certifications and training.

To become a Cloud Professional, partners will need to complete specific sales and technical training. Cloud Champions will need that training as well but will need to complete a services training as well as an advanced sales training.
