Cobalt Iron’s new chief revenue officer and sales leader Rodney Foreman has huge plans in store to extend the enterprise data protection and cloud backup company’s market reach and take share from the competition.

“I’m looking forward to announcing a new channel program that I feel will be the most innovative program in the software industry today,” said Foreman, CRO and direct and indirect sales leader for Cobalt Iron, in an interview with CRN. “We have the best data protection product in the market. They just needed some help from a leadership perspective, and I’ll bring that to the table as chief revenue officer.”

Foreman was previously vice president of Global Channel Sales at hyper-converged infrastructure pioneer Nutanix along with a 20-year career in top roles at IBM.

In an interview with CRN, Foreman talks about the future of Nutanix, his vision to create a new channel program and why Cobalt Iron will best the competition in the data protection and backup market.
