Why did you leave Nutanix to join Cobalt Iron?

Cobalt Iron is very similar to Nutanix in that, for awhile, Nutanix was the best kept secret in hyper-converged. Once the word got out on the capabilities and the customer satisfaction with the product, business exploded with Nutanix. At Cobalt Iron, I see a lot of similarities in that the product is really the best in the industry with its intelligence capabilities, it’s SaaS-based, it works across five different public cloud environments, it has unique capabilities that other data protection products in the market just don’t have today. It’s well ahead of its time. I see an outstanding opportunity in that we can leverage the channel to really get the word out in this incredible product and allow the partners to benefit and make a recurring revenue steam because it’s SaaS-based and to really explode our results and make this not a secret anymore. We have the best data protection product in the market. They just needed some help from a leadership perspective and I’ll bring that to the table as chief revenue officer.
