Enterprises Still Keen On Blockchain

Cryptocurrencies are experiencing a long course-correction, but many enterprises still feel bullish about blockchain, the decentralized ledger technology behind Bitcoin and other digital currencies.

A survey by Deloitte earlier this year found that 84 percent global executives believe blockchain will eventually reach mainstream adoption, with 39 percent saying they plan to invest $5 million or more in the technology in the next calendar year.

CRN looked at 10 of the hottest blockchain startups from 2018 that could benefit from the belief that the technology could finally break through to mass adoption. Many of the startups are focused on infrastructure-level technology to improve how blockchains work while others are using blockchain to improve other tech sectors, like the Internet of Things.
