Hedera Hashgraph is developing a new kind of distributed public ledger based on its "hashgraph consensus" technology that is faster, more secure and more scalable than current blockchains.

The Dallas, Texas-based startup announced in August that it had raised $100 million from institutional investors via a future token sale.

The company said its platform, unlike other blockchains, doesn't require compute-intensive resources and can process up to hundreds of thousands of transactions per second while also ensuring fairness among participants of every transaction.
