Oasis Labs is developing a "privacy-first" cloud computing platform that aims to solve the performance, security and privacy hurdles faced by other blockchain technologies.

The Berkeley, Calif.-based startup raised a $45 million Series A funding round in July that counted a16z crypto, a fund started by Netscape co-founder Marc Andreessen's venture capital firm.

The company said its platform can enable a variety of privacy-preserving applications, including collaborative analytics, personalized medicine, machine learning and regulatory compliance.
