Breadwinner
Breadwinner is a smart device that helps bakers make better starters for sourdough bread. This is made possible by infrared and ambient air sensors built into the top of a standard, 16-ounce mason jar that tracks the growth of a sourdough starter and its temperature, helping bakers determine how much and when to feed it and when it’s ready to bake. The device has built-in Wi-Fi connectivity, which allows it to transmit the data to an app that displays visualizations on starter growth, temperature and height. It is currently a prototype, but it is available to buy for $140 when it is in stock.
