NetGain Technologies Acquires IntraSource
NetGain Technologies, a Lexington, Ky.-based MSP, had acquired IntraSource, another Lexington-based company and former competitor in the managed services space, for an undisclosed amount.
Both companies were founded in 1984 and are two of Lexington's oldest solution providers. NetGain intends to keep the IntraSource team in place going forward, according to the company.
NetGain, a member of CRN's Tech Elite 250, is in the middle of an aggressive expansion strategy. The company recently expanded into Cincinnati and Chattanooga, Tenn., and is moving to a larger office in Little Rock, Ark.
Trend Micro, Reliable Group Integrated Into ConnectWise
ConnectWise has completed integration of two more vendors into its professional services automation platform for MSPs and solution providers.
Reliable Group's Work Market platform now allows users to build and manage their contract workforce through ConnectWise, while Trend Micro completed integration of its endpoint, Web and email security management products for increased reporting, billing and service ticket automation, according to ConnectWise.
Reliable Group and ConnectWise collaborated on a gateway that allows jobs, job status and job notes to be automatically entered in both systems -- without a single manual entry, according to ConnectWise.
Meanwhile, the Trend Micro integration includes streamlined billing by usage, centralized ticketing and an enhanced executive summary report for users.
75 Percent Of N-able Partners Using N-central 9.0
N-able Technologies will exceed its 2012 growth expectations and has experienced company highs in number of partners, year-over-year growth and competitive gains, according to the Ottawa, Ontario-based RMM platform company.
The number of new MSPs that bought N-central in 2012 is up 51 percent, and the number of partners buying additional licensing is up 81 percent this year, according to the company. Also, the number of MSPs who switched to N-central from another platform is up more than 200 percent compared to 2011, the company said.
Nearly 75 percent of N-able MSPs have now adopted the company's N-central 9.0 platform within two months of its release, according to the company. N-able is hosting its annual Global Partner Summit in Montreal next week.
Cbeyond Offers TotalCloud Managed Service
Cbeyond, an Atlanta-based solution provider, has launched its new TotalCloud Data Center managed service, which provides SMBs with secure and customizable cloud services without having to purchase, configure or manage their own servers, according to Cbeyond.
TotalCloud Data Center is built on Microsoft's Windows Server 2012 Hyper-V platform, is available in both public and private clouds and features managed and monitored security, backup and infrastructure monitoring and support. Businesses can adjust their storage, security and processing power as needed and additional features include load balancing, private firewalls and dedicated VLANs, according to Chris Gatch, CTO of Cbeyond.
Level Platforms Releases Managed Workplace 2012 R2
Level Platforms has launched Managed Workplace 2012 R2, the newest version of its remote monitoring and management platform. The R2 release includes new automatic device identification and monitoring features and new persistent state management functionality, according to CEO Peter Sandiford (pictured).
Among the improvements is an auto-grouping feature that enables the tool to automatically identify devices and place them in an appropriate group or groups for further management and updates. Previously, Level Platforms' MSPs had to undertake a more manual process to isolate and group devices, according to the Ottawa, Ontario-based company.
Continuum Releases Monitoring App For iOS
Continuum has released a new app for Apple's iOS platform called ITS247 that lets MSPs open tickets, run scripts, view device information and -- perhaps most importantly, Zepf said -- remote into those devices to analyze and fix while on the road, according to Dee Zepf, vice president of product management and technical services, at Continuum.
The app was developed with LogMeIn, with which Continuum worked on other projects, Zepf said. In addition, a new SMS alert escalation option allows MSPs to receive alert notifications via text instead of a phone call, according to the company.
