Carousel Industries CTO Jason Viera On 2019 Demand Drivers, Key Partnerships

Rick Whiting

Looking Ahead To 2019

Carousel Industries promoted Jason Viera to chief technology officer in May, making him responsible for shaping the Exeter, R.I.-based solution provider's technology strategy "to help innovate and cultivate new opportunities for its more than 6,000 clients," the company said in the announcement.

Viera has been with Carousel since June 2016, serving as senior director of infrastructure solutions just prior to being named CTO. Before joining Carousel, No. 52 on the CRN Solution Provider 500, he worked at Cisco in several capacities over five and a half years.

CRN caught up with Viera at Carousel's recent Always On Technology Symposium in Boston to get his outlook on fast-approaching 2019, including what he expects to be the technologies most in demand in the new year, the use-cases that are driving that demand, and Carousel's relationships with its top vendor partners.

What follows is an edited excerpt of Viera's conversation with CRN.
