Gift choices on our list include big-name products such as the new Amazon Kindle and Apple Watch 4 as well as noise-canceling Bose headphones and a power-generating camp stove.

In the following slides, check out our list of 10 cool tech gifts for dad on Father's Day 2019.

Belkin Boost Charge Power Bank 5K With Lightning Connector

If dad's iPhone always seems to be in need of a charge, he might just appreciate this handy accessory from Belkin. The 5,000mAh Boost Charge Power Bank offers up to 35 hours worth of battery life per charge, and won't add much heft with a weight of just a third of a pound. For iPhone users, it also has a big advantage over other power banks: it can actually recharge itself using a Lightning cable. That means that dad can recharge the Boost Charge Power Bank using the same Lightning cable he uses to power his iPhone.

The Belkin Boost Charge Power Bank 5K With Lightning Connector is currently priced at $39.99.

Epson WorkForce ES-60W Wireless Portable Document Scanner

If dad is looking to go digital with all of his files—or just wants to save time with scanning receipts and other key documents for work—a wireless portable scanner could be an ideal gift. Epson's WorkForce ES-60W quickly scans documents—the company says a page can be scanned in as little as four seconds—and can send the scanned files directly to PC, Mac, iOS or Android devices. The scanner can create searchable PDFs from scans as well as editable Word and Excel files. The device is also lightweight, at two-thirds of a pound, and measures 10.7 x 1.8 x 1.3 inches overall.

The Epson WorkForce ES-60W Wireless Portable Document Scanner is currently priced at $129.99.

Tile Mate

This could be the ultimate gift for any dad who is prone to misplacing his stuff. In the era of "connected everything," missing things don't have to stay missing for long. The Tile Mate is a small Bluetooth-connected device that helps track down those misplaced items; the Tile Mate attaches to items such as keychains and then will "ring" when commanded on a smartphone. Likewise, when a user's phone has gone missing, a double press on the Tile Mate will make the phone ring. Recent updates to the Tile Mate have included boosted Bluetooth range and replaceable batteries.

The Tile Mate with replaceable battery is currently priced at $19.23 on Amazon.

CampStove 2

Just because your dad loves tech doesn't mean he doesn't also appreciate the great outdoors. Now, there's a way to ensure he doesn't have to completely leave civilization behind during an outdoor adventure. The CampStove 2 is a portable camping stove that not only cooks meals and boils water, but also charges up devices, such as phones and lights. The heat of the stove's fire can generate up to three watts of electricity, which can be used to charge devices or the on-board 2,600mAh battery. Additionally, manufacturer BioLite says the CampStove 2 weighs just over two pounds and packs down to the size of a 32-ounce widemouth water bottle.

The CampStove 2 is currently priced at $129.95 on Amazon.

Amazon Kindle

Face it: dad's massive book collection is getting unwieldy. This might be the year for dad to finally go digital with an e-reader. That would be great timing, too, because Amazon just refreshed the Kindle in April. The biggest new feature for the Kindle is the addition of a front light, which lets users adjust the display brightness for more-comfortable reading. That includes during nighttime reads indoors or beach reads in the bright sun. The Kindle features a 6-inch 167 ppi display for reading e-books, along with the ability to play Audible audiobooks—and, notably, the Kindle lets users easily switch between reading and listening to the same book.

The Amazon Kindle is priced at $89.99 (with "special offers" advertising) or $109.99 without ads.

Apple Watch Series 4

If dad is something of a fitness nut, the latest Apple Watch is well worth considering. Apple has continued evolving its smartwatch to include more fitness and health monitoring features. For the Apple Watch Series 4, features include new hiking and yoga workouts along with advanced capabilities for runners, such as cadence and pace alerts. Other fitness features range from personalized coaching to activity sharing. Health monitoring has gotten a major boost on the fourth-gen Apple Watch, too—with capabilities to take an electrocardiogram heart beat measurement and get notifications on low heart rates and irregular heart rhythms.

The latest Apple Watch also includes up to 2X faster performance and a 50-percent louder speaker, while the cellular connectivity and 18-hour battery life of the previous model have been retained.

The Apple Watch Series 4 has a starting price of $399 (GPS only) or $499 (cellular/GPS).

Google Home Max

There's an overwhelming number of smart speakers out there at this point, but if your dad happens to be an audiophile, you might want to look first at the Google Home Max. The smart speaker includes dual 4.5-inch woofers and, according to Google, is 20 times as loud as the original Google Home. The Home Max also has the ability to automatically adapt the sound to its environment. The Home Max is powered by Google Assistant and works with music services including Spotify and Pandora, and the speaker has an input option so that users can plug in external devices such as record players. The speaker can also be placed to stand up either vertically or horizontally.

The Google Home Max is currently priced at $269.

Philips Hue White and Color Smart Light Bulb Starter Kit

If dad might be interested in dabbling in smart home technology (which can often work with a smart speaker), a smart light bulb is a great place to start. One leading brand for smart bulbs is Philips Hue, and its White and Color Smart Light Bulb Starter Kit is a solid entry point. The two-bulb starter kit lets users create the ideal ambiance for any setting, and custom color settings can be chosen within the Philips Hue mobile app. The lights themselves can be controlled using an app or by voice with Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant or Siri (via Apple HomeKit).

The Philips Hue White and Color Smart Light Bulb Starter Kit is currently priced at $116.68 on Amazon.

DJI Spark (Fly More Combo)

No tech gift list should go without a cool drone, and the DJI Spark is one worth considering if you're looking to delight your techie dad on Father's Day this year. This mini drone can fly for up to 16 minutes and can continue transmitting video from up to 1.2 miles away. The Spark also offers a number of features for improved photo and video taking such as stabilized video; "intelligent flight modes" for easily creating impressive aerial videos; and automatic object recognition for improved tracking of objects.

The DJI Spark (Fly More Combo) is currently priced at $505 on Amazon.

Bose QuietComfort 35 II

For the times when your busy dad could use a break, noise-canceling headphones can be a big help. Noise-canceling headphones from Bose are always a solid choice, and Bose's QuietComfort 35 wireless headphones are now in their second generation. Along with the Bluetooth connectivity and acoustic noise cancellation of the original version, the Bose QuietComfort 35 II headphones add in the Google Assistant for voice control -- for such things as playing music and sending texts -- right from the headphones. The QuietComfort 35 II headphones also feature an impressive 20 hours of battery life.

The Bose QuietComfort 35 II headphones are currently priced at $299.95.
