LG Optimus X2 (2011)

Not long after the iPhone arrived, a flood of new smartphones hit the market and pushed the technical specifications further up the chart. The 1GHz clock speed barrier was broken soon enough, but arguably a bigger achievement was just around the corner with Nvidia's Tegra 2 system-on-a-chip (SoC), the first dual-core mobile processor. The first benefactor of that achievement was LG's Optimus X2, an Android "super-phone" with some impressive power. LG's device supported full 1080p HD video playback and even came with a mini-HDMI port. The smartphone's camera also supported HD video recording. And to support the dual-core processor, the Optimus X2 received a sizeable increase in memory.
