The Best Of CES Unveiled

CES 2019 opens to the public Tuesday, but we got a peek at some of the hottest products on showcase at this year's Las Vegas tech extravaganza during the CES Unveiled media event Sunday. At CES Unveiled 2019, key product areas included the Internet of Things and smart home, artificial intelligence, mobile devices and wearables—with established and up-and-coming vendors taking part.

One key theme was the inclusion of smart voice assistants such as Amazon's Alexa and the Google Assistant in a growing number of connected devices, while new smart home devices featuring advanced sensors were also on display. In terms of new mobile devices and wearables, a smartphone with five cameras and a smartwatch powered by body heat were among the products on showcase. There were also signs of increased innovation in automation at this year's CES Unveiled, with the demonstration of an automated bread-baking system targeted at grocery stores.
