Windows 7 Poses Some Particular Problems

At Windows Management Experts, a Seattle-based systems integrator for Microsoft infrastructure and cloud, Matt Tinney said that "the way we approach things is that anything running on Windows 8 is usually OK on Windows 10. Windows 7 to Windows 10, not so much."

Which is an obvious issue, since Windows 7 remains the most popular operating system by far. Tinney suggested that anyone considering an upgrade should do their homework first. "We definitely recommend that [users] go through running a compatibility checker, and making sure that their applications are actually supported," he said.
