Down But Not Out
The latest news on PC sales: They're still in decline -- but not in free fall. IDC reported that year-over-year sales of PCs were down 4.5 percent in the second quarter but that beat its forecast of 7.4 percent. Lenovo, HP Inc. and Dell were the top three PC vendors by market share in the second quarter -- and it's probably no coincidence that all three have released some interesting new PCs in the first half of this year -- including mobility- and flexibility-focused laptops.
Those vendors -- along with others such as Samsung and Asus -- are the makers of the 10 coolest new laptops we've come across so far in 2016, any of which solution providers might consider recommending to their customers.
