The 7 Coolest HP Elite Products Of 2017

An Elite Lineup

2017 marked a banner year for HP Inc.'s PC business, as the company grew its revenue and widened its leading position in the market despite declining PC sales overall. Revenue in the first nine months of the year for HP's personal systems business rose 11.7 percent from the year before, to $25.15 billion, driven particularly by sales of premium devices. Helping the cause was HP's premium Elite business line, which released a string of innovative products during the year across laptops, desktops, 2-in-1 tablets, and monitors.

In the following slides, we've rounded up seven HP Elite products from 2017 that are worth knowing about.

EliteBook x360 1030 G2

The EliteBook x360 1030 G2 is a 2-in-1 notebook built with the needs of the business power user in mind. Along with a convertible 13.3-inch touch-screen display, key features include long battery life (up to 16.5 hours on a charge); a premium touchpad and keyboard; and a range of work-friendly ports (USB-A, HDMI, USB-C, microSD, smart card reader). The laptop is also just about as thin as possible -- 0.59 of an inch thick -- while still having room for those ports. Other business-friendly elements include security features such as HP's self-healing Sure Start technology, as well as dedicated keys for launching Skype for Business and other collaboration functions.

EliteBook x360 1020 G2

With a 12.5-inch convertible touch display, the EliteBook x360 1020 G2 is smaller and more portable than the 1030 G2 model, while still packing plenty of horsepower and battery life for productivity-focused users. It ranks as the world's lightest and thinnest business convertible, according to HP, weighing 2.5 pounds and measuring 0.53 of an inch thick. Its display comes with optional 4K resolution and brightness of 700 nits. And of course, the laptop provides business-friendly features such as military-grade durability, seventh-gen Intel Core processors, up to 15.5 hours of battery life, and an optional integrated privacy screen (HP Sure View). Other cool features include HP PhoneWise, a new application that enables users to respond to calls and text messages using the laptop.

EliteBook 1040 G4

HP also designed its 14-inch clamshell laptop, the EliteBook 1040 G4, with improvements around portability and horsepower for 2017. The EliteBook 1040 G4 offers up to a quad-core seventh-gen Intel Core i7 H-series processor with Intel vPro and up to 16 GB of RAM, while weighing three pounds and measuring 0.63 of inch thick. The laptop features up to 4K resolution for its display, available in touch or non-touch configurations. And the EliteBook 1040 G4 also includes battery life of up to 18 hours and optional WWAN wireless connectivity.

Elite x2 1012 G2

The second-generation model of the Elite x2 stands out from other 2-in-1 tablets with a number of features, including optional WWAN wireless connectivity and advanced security (HP BIOSphere, HP Sure Start, optional fingerprint sensor, optional self-encrypting drive). The 12.3-inch tablet also features heavy-duty durability (including Corning Gorilla Glass on the display), seventh-gen Intel Core processors, a backlit detachable keyboard, and both USB-A and USB-C ports.

EliteOne 800

This all-in-one PC from HP offers a rare combination of consumer-friendly design flourishes along with business-level performance and security. The 23.8-inch touch screen display is slim and glare-free, and features a minimal bezel. For processors, the EliteOne 800 integrates seventh-gen Intel Core CPUs and an option for AMD Radeon graphics. And security features include multi-factor authentication, HP's self-healing Sure Start technology, and remote management capabilities.

EliteOne 1000

The EliteOne 1000 is an all-in-one desktop PC focused on collaboration as well as providing an immersive video and audio experience. The AIO includes a dual-facing pop-up webcam for video conferencing, and video chats can be launched by pressing a key on the base of the PC. The EliteOne 1000 features four display options -- 23.8-inch touch or non-touch, 27-inch non-touch, and 34-inch curved non-touch -- as well as resolution options of FHD, QHD, or 4K. And in terms of audio, the PC includes Bang & Olufsen speakers, HP Audio Boost technology (for balancing loudness and clarity), and HP Noise Cancellation technology. Additionally, the EliteOne 1000 offers major horsepower with up to seventh-gen Intel Core i7 and up to 32 GB of RAM.

EliteDisplay E273m

HP continued the focus on collaboration with the EliteDisplay E273m, which the company describes as a "conferencing monitor" thanks to its pop-up HD webcam, Bang & Olufsen speakers, collaboration keys (for launching calls and managing audio), and Skype for Business certification. The monitor also includes a minimal bezel on three sides around its 27-inch FHD screen, and adjustable tilt, height, and swivel for ergonomic comfort.
