New 5G Phones With Different Price Points, Features

While CES isn’t always a magnet for major smartphone announcements, this year’s show brought some interesting news from a variety of phone vendors, including Samsung, TCL and Vivo.

These and other phone makers brought out a handful of new 5G smartphones with different features and price points at CES 2022. For example, a new Nokia phone will make 5G connectivity and 120Hz available to the masses for only $239, a low price point for a 5G phone with a high refresh rate.

What follows are five cool 5G smartphones that were revealed at CES 2022.

Vivo V23 5G

The Vivo V23 5G smartphone was revealed alongside the premium Vivo V23 Pro at CES 2022 with an emphasis on the phones’ “unique selfie camera capabilities” that create “eye-popping portrait images.”

The rear camera consists of three lenses, including a 64-megapixel lens, and it supports some of the same scene modes plus others, like time lapse, ultra stabilization and pro.

The body of the Vivo 23 5G, like the Vivo 23 Pro, changes color when exposed to direct sunlight, thanks to the use of Fluorite AG technology. It’s powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 920 chipset and is capable of dual 5G standby. It also comes with up to 12GB of memory and 256GB of storage. Both phones are being rolled out in several markets, including India and Malaysia, in the next few months.
