Apple iPhone XS Max Vs. Samsung Galaxy S9+: Head-To-Head

Processor, RAM & Storage

Both the Galaxy S9+ and iPhone XS Max feature 4 GB of RAM and speedy, top-of-the-line processors. The eight-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chip that's used in the Galaxy S9+ features a clock speed of up to 2.8GHz, while the six-core A12 Bionic in the iPhone XS Max has been clocked at up at a lesser speed of 2.49GHz. However, Geekbench 4 benchmark scores have shown the iPhone XS Max with a sizable performance advantage over the Galaxy S9+. With either phone you choose, however, you are certain to get a strong performer.

On internal storage, both the iPhone XS Max and Galaxy S9+ come with 64 GB at the base level. The iPhone XS Max is also offered with 256 GB or 512 GB storage configurations. Meanwhile, the Galaxy S9+ has a slot for an optional microSD card that can add up to 400 GB of storage space.
