Both of the new Pixel phones will retain a single camera system on the rear offering 12.2 megapixels. Google spent much of its event Tuesday touting the advanced camera features on the Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL--suggesting that the phones don't need a dual-camera to compete with the latest iPhones and Galaxy devices.
