Lenovo Notebooks Join WiMax Revolution

Lenovo has embedded WiMax capabilities into several of its notebooks, enabling the laptops to take advantage of 4G high-speed wireless broadband capabilities. Lenovo's addition of WiMax comes on the heels of Sprint launching its XOHM WiMax network in Baltimore, with other cities to follow.

It comes with an optional digitizer, color calibrator and other features and functions, the W700 takes the award for Lenovo's highest performance ThinkPad notebook.

The ThinkPad X200 typifies thin and light notebooks, with models starting at just 2.4 pounds. And the light-weight laptop will soon add WiMax to its list of features, which also includes extended battery life of up to 13-plus hours and a top cover roll cage to keep it light and durable.

Entertainment-conscious notebook PC users can also get in on the WiMax fun, when later this year the IdeaPad Y530 will tie in WiMax.
